I like to make my own herbal tea, that way I am 100% sure that no other “secret” things were added to them. Here is a very easy recipe to make a relaxing cup of tea. I like to steep it and put in my mason jars, then store in the refrigerator for a lovely quick sip!

I picked lemon balm, chamomile, and oregano, rinsed, then muddled in a glass bowl in order to break open the plant cells in order to release their very healthy oils.

Bring water to gentle boil, turn off, then put in all the herbs and gently push the them all the way in the hot water. Cover and let sit for a few hours. Go about whatever else you would be doing in the day or evening. Let nature take its course.

Gently pour the tea into a clean mason jar. You can throw the used herbs in your compost pile or or back into your garden. If you add them to your jar, like all good things, they will become bitter. So, best to share them back from whence they came.

Voila! You have a lovely herbal tea, ready for the sipping. You can drink it hot or cool. I like both. My kitchen is my healing place. My refrigerator is my apothecary.
–Enjoy!
